Garlic plantations can be found in the village of Turya-Remeta near Perechyn, which is at the altitude of 240 meters above sea level, the Mukachevo.net writes. There is another experimental plantation in the village Likitsary at the altitude of 837 meters above sea level.
Eco-garlic is grown by a local farmer from Perechyn, Fedir Shandor, who posted a video tour of the plantation in his blog, says.
– This garlic has all the necessary certification as a separate subspecies of garlic with the relevant conditions of cultivation and quality characteristics, and is probably the only eco-garlic that is grown in Ukraine. Unfortunately, 95% of our market is taken by garlic from China – Fedir Shandor said.
This year, they have already started gathering the 2nd harvest of garlic. A large amount of it is exported.
