A criminal gang of smugglers of arms and drugs from Central European countries was eliminated in Uzhgorod by officers of the Security Service of Ukraine.

Law enforcement officers seized from four criminals five foreign-made pistols with silencers, four submachine guns "Scorpion", a large amount of ammunition of various calibres, almost half a kilogram of cocaine.

A criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Art. 201 and Part 2 of Art. 305 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine was initiated. Detainees will be notified of being suspected. Operational-investigative actions continue, all persons involved in the illegal activities are being identified.

Recall that last night Uzhgorod residents were alarmed by a massive explosion in the "Bozdosh" neighbourhood Officers of the security forces were seen near the park.
