The cold may affect harvest of strawberries and courgettes in Transcarpathia

Transcarpathian farmers say that the cold affected strawberries and courgettes. Current weather conditions are threatening this year's harvest, the PRESS-CENTER informs citing the Vesti.

The cold affected both soil crops and fruit trees. Farmers say they need at least five days to figure out what to expect from the harvest.

To protect fruits, farmers are covering potato sprouts with dirt and weed. However, a resident of the neighboring Ivano-Frankivsk region Daryna Kovalko says, it did not help. She is already certain that there will be no potato harvest, and fruit trees will also be affected.
