The reception dedicated to the 10th anniversary of cooperation between Transcarpathian region and Vysočina region of the Czech Republic took place the atrium of the regional council administrative building.

Among the guests, there were delegations of each region and the cities of regional importance. And our Czech partners were at the center of attention. In particular, Milos Vystrčil – Senator of the Parliament of the Czech Republic, former Hetman of Vysočina, and the current Hetman – Jiri Byehounek.

After the Transcarpathian Folk Choir perfomed the national anthems of Ukraine and the Czech Republic, the Regional Council Chairman Mykhailo Rivis, Czech officials and the Chairman of the Regional Council of the fifth convocation Mykhailo Kichkovsky addressed to the audience with welcoming speeches. On behalf of the deputies of the regional council, district and city councils, all Transcarpathians, Mykhailo Rivis congratulated the Czech coleagues on the jubilee and thanked them for promoting social development in our region.

And he added that Transcarpathia has many good friends – both near and far abroad. But the cooperation with Vysočina is a model of inter-regional partnership not only for our fraternal peoples, but also for entire Europe. – I am very pleased to say that the cooperation between Transcarpathia and Vysočina, that started ten years ago, has been developing so successfully that it has become the example for other regions of our countries, – Mykhailo Rivis said.

And no wonder, because nowadays there are few places in Transcarpathia, where this cooperation has not left a good "Czech footprint". It is embodied in more than 80 newly constructed, reconstructed or repaired schools, kindergartens, hospitals, cultural institutions. This year their number will increase further.
