Nature, people, flair. In Kyiv, photos of Transcarpathia were presented to the journalists, who came to cover the Eurovision (+ slideshow)

The "Day of Transcarpathia" took place in the ArtHub of the National Information Agency "Ukrinform", partner of the "Eurovision-2017" which continues in Kyiv.

The region was presented with folk songs, local specialties, authentic costumes, which were presented by the Transcarpathian Agency correspondent (and one of the contributors to our site) Tetyana Kohutych, in particular, from the collection of the Transcarpathian Museum of Architecture and Rural Life. And of course, as an interesting tourist region – a place that surprises and inspires.

The tourism potential of Transcarpathia was shown, in particular, in the presentations of a photographer of the "Ukrinform" in Transcarpathia, Serhiy Hudak. He presented three slideshows of his works. The first one is dedicated to Iza – the capital of basket weaving – and hard-working people of this village.

The second one – to sheep breeding in the Carpathian mountains, life of shepherds in the meadow above the village of Ruska Mokra and cheese production. 

And another one – to the special appeal of Transcarpathia as "The land close to the sky." Under this official slogan of the tourism industry of Transcarpathia, the photographer showed our native land using its nature, people and unique flair.

During the presentation, the photographer compared the region with a "magic box". "You can talk endlessly about Transcarpathian.  It is like a magic box. From the outside it is small, but when you open it, it turns out that inside there are many interesting and extraordinary things," – Serhiy Hudak said.
