Narcissus Valley: not luxurious, but still beautiful (photos)
In Transcarpathia, the flowering of the Narcissus Valley continues.
However, contrary to the statements of the regional authorities, the flowering peak has passed, and this year the Valley itself is not as impressive as usually.
Thus, as seen with a naked eye, there are much less flowers than in previous years, but much more grasses and weeds. Obviously, the severe winter and the capricious spring affected the life cycle of the fragile flowers... And also, the unfortunate incidents with burning of dead grass that occurred in the protected area in March. In the fields, once abundantly covered with daffodils, there are now clearings without any white flowers. Now buttercups and other wildflowers are thriving there...
However, the Valley - the reserve near Khust, the habitat of the narcissus, which usually grows only in the highlands, remains a place of pleasant walks, contact with nature and admiration of the white flowers. Visitors should immediately go to the second observation deck, which offers the view of the most beautiful daffodil field this year.
As always, the beautiful Narcissus Valley is visited by thousands of tourists and many countrymen. It gives pleasant moments. However, nature conservationists and people responsible for the reserve should think about how to preserve the Narcissus Valley so that it remains interesting to guests and keep striking people with the beauty of nature in general, and daffodils in particular.
