A transcarpathian was convicted for illegally keeping weapons (PHOTOS)

 The verdict of Uzhgorod city and district court against a Transcarpathian accused of illegal possession of weapons and ammunition has entered into force.
The man was caught by officers of the Security Service of Ukraine in Transcarpathian region during the investigation into smuggling of weapons and ammunition. Law enforcement officers found out that this local resident was specializing in repair and "fitting" of spare parts and accessories for firearms.
During the authorized search of the suspect’s apartment, officers of the Security Service of Ukraine found and seized three pistols made in Germany and Slovakia: a 9 mm Walter, a Grand power P1, 40 rounds of 9 mm caliber, shafts, bolts and other parts and components of firearms.
Uzhgorod city and district court found the local resident guilty under Part 1 of Art.263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and sentenced him to 5 years imprisonment with 1 year probation.
The physical evidence in the criminal proceeding, firearms, ammunition and parts are to be destroyed.
