The "City Workshop" as a tool for dialogue between city residents and authorities will be launched in Uzhgorod

The project will be held in the regional center of Transcarpathia for the first time, the events will take place from 19 to 25 of June, 2017. This was announced today by the Deputy Mayor of Uzhgorod Oleksandr Bilak, the Advisor to the Mayor Marianna Sobran during a meeting with representatives of public organizations and initiatives that will participate in the "Workshop".
At the meeting, they discussed organizational issues.

As noted, the main goal of the "City Workshop" is to get Uzhgorod residents, NGO representatives involved in the joint dialogue on important issues for the city.
The "City Workshop" is the urban cultural project, which started in 2012 on the initiative of the project "Municipal development and rehabilitation of the old town of Lviv", which on behalf of the German Government is being implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH and Lviv city council. In 5 years, they created an open platform for innovative ideas, dialogue and active cooperation between NGOs, representatives of local authorities and active residents.

This year, the "City Workshop" will take place in Lviv, Odesa, Kremenchuk, Cherkasy, Zaporizhzhia, Uzhgorod, Buchach.
In Uzhgorod, the "City Workshop" is organized by the Department for Culture, Sports, Youth and Family, as well as City Planning and Architecture of Uzhgorod City Council and with co-financing by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.
The location, where all the activities will take place, is Nezalezhnist embankment, 6 (near the former "Ukrtelecom").
