On June 1, the International Children’s Day, the Chairman of the Transcarpathian Regional Council Mykhailo Rivis visited the regional children’s home in the city of Svalyava, where 110 orphans and children deprived of parental care are being brought up. He was also accompanied by Svalyava district council chairperson Miroslava Lyvch and the Deputy Director of the Department of Health of the RSA, professional pediatrician Tetyana Mitsyo. As expected, the guests did not come empty-handed, they brought not only packages with sweets, but also things necessary for the institution: diapers, detergents and electric stoves for daily needs.

On the occasion of the holiday, 3-year-old children of the institution showed the guests and staff a well-prepared concert with poems and songs, dances and fun performances, for which they were rewarded with loud applause. After that Mykhailo Rivis presented the chief physician of the orphanage Volodymyr Beyresh the Diploma of the Regional Council for professionalism, personal contribution to the provision of health care to children, conscientious work and on the occasion of the International Children’s Day.

– This kids are our most valuable treasure, joy and faith in the future of our country. And today, the most important task of all adults is to create the right conditions for the development and normal life of children. And educators play a significant role in this by putting their hearts and souls into every orphan to make their lives happy, – Mykhailo Rivis said.
