Nearly 3,200 citizens of Ukraine have crossed the border with Europe having only biometric passports

Since the introduction of visa-free travels for citizens of Ukraine, as of 12:00 June 13th, over 150 thousand of our compatriots have crossed the border with the EU.

Nearly 30,000 citizens of Ukraine following to Europe were using biometric passports. Of those, 3170 are Ukrainians, who took advantage of the visa-free regime and crossed the border having only a biometric passport.

24% of such citizens are passengers of airport checkpoints, and the rest used railway or crossed the border at road checkpoints on the border with the EU.

Since the launch of visa-free travels, 6 citizens of Ukraine have been denied entry to the EU, primarily due to violation of immigration laws of EU countries during previous stay.
