The second parade of chimney-sweeps in Mukachevo 2017 has become international! Kin Robert, the Vice President of the Hungarian State Union of Chimney-Sweeps, as well as his colleague will come to wish Berti-basci happy birthday.
The trade union of chimney-sweeps was established three years ago. During the first year, five hundred people joined the union.
All their efforts are aimed at increasing the respect and public recognition for the profession of chimney-sweep.
They actively co-operate with employers in negotiating wages, concluding collective agreements to improve working conditions. Also, they organize charity events – donations, balls, gastro-events – to improve the positive image of this craft.
In 2016, this trade union for the first time represented their country at the Italian International Meeting, which was attended by more than 1,500 chimney-sweeps from 29 countries and attracted about 35,000 spectators.
