The International Chess Festival "Mukachevo Summer 2017" has started in Mukachevo. It takes place for the eleventh time now. This year, it brought together representatives of five countries, in total over 400 players, including 3 grand masters, 22 masters of sports and 100 candidates for master of sports.
According to the head of Mukachevo chess club Oleksandr Fediv, this year, the festival’s guaranteed prize pool was increased to 100,000 UAH. The funds were raised by sponsors who support this sport in Mukachevo. The winners of groups A, C and D will be awarded with smartphones.
