Today, a party to celebrate the victory in the American Football Championship of Ukraine was supposed to take place. Uzhgorod "Lumberjacks" for the third time became the best American football team of Ukraine and were waiting for fans to celebrate together. However, these men adjusted their plans, because Ukraine – and Transcarpathia, in particular – is mourning her sons.
"Lumberjacks" reported about this decision on their page on Facebook:
We want to express our sincere condolences about the death of Ukrainian heroes in the ATO zone. We always support our volunteers from the Movement to support Transcarpathian soldiers and we are very worried about our guys on the front.
We want to apologize to the fans and thank the team of the FMK park for understanding, but we do not have a moral right to celebrate victory during the mourning period. We ask all Ukrainians to pray for all the deceased warriors.
