A Transcarpathian became a full member of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences

Rector of Uzhgorod National University, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Volodymyr Smolanka and Professor of the Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University Rostislav Stupnitsky were elected as full members (academicians) of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences. 

This was reported to the Leopolis.news by the press service of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences.

In particular, on July 11, the President of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences, Dr. Sc., the winner of the State Prize of Ukraine in the field of science and technology Oleksiy Onipko handed the nominees the approriate diplomas in Kyiv. He sincerely congratulated his colleagues and expressed his confidence that the association of scientists and specialists, in particular, the higher school, would contribute to the introduction of innovations in various fields of public life in Ukraine.

We will add that the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences brings together scientists and producers from various branches of the national economy, has more than 500 full members and correspondent members, 20 honorary members, and 50 foreign members.

Scientific relations with academies of foreign countries, such as USA, Italy, Poland, South Korea, Russia, Kazakhstan, Georgia, and others, have been established.
