Unique crowns of the rulers of different countries and eras were presented in Uzhgorod (PHOTOS)

"Crowns of the World" – a unique collection of the main symbols of power of different countries and eras – was presented in the Regional local lore museum. 

The exhibition, which opened in the chapel of Uzhgorod castle, was presented to numerous visitors by the deputy head of the Regional State Administration Department of Culture Ivan Kanyuka, the museum director Vasyl Sheba and the author of the project, the president of the Charity Foundation "Revival of historical and cultural heritage of Ukraine named after the Hero of Ukraine Boris Voznytsky" Igor Zhuk. 

The collection includes 70 exhibits – wreaths, crowns, headwear of spiritual and secular leaders. About one third of them are the original exhibits (mainly, miters of patriarchs of various denominations). The rest are reconstructions and replicas, 99% of which are recreated by Ukrainian masters using old technologies – Byzantine, Chinese, European. Overall, more than one hundred professionals were working on the project for nearly 15 years. 

The first tour of the exhibition was conducted by a volunteer of the Charity Foundation "Revival of historical and cultural heritage of Ukraine" Aurica Myronyuk. However, as the organizers stressed, each of these aesthetic masterpieces is shrouded in its own amazing history, so it warrants multiple visits. Therefore, they called the visitors for more in-depth exploration of the unique exhibition. 

By the way, after Lviv, this is the second large-scale presentation of the collection. Subsequently, the exhibition will be shown in other regions of Ukraine. Also, they plan to show the collection in several European countries – the organizers told.
