Officers of the Investigation Department of the Main Office of the National Police in Transcarpathian region together with officers of Economic Crimes Department under the procedural control of the prosecutor’s office conducted searches of the establishments, that were providing gambling services.
During the authorized search of the grounds of a criminal offense under Art. 203-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (gambling business), the police officers checked the establishments suspected of providing illegal services in the cities of Vynogradiv and Beregovo and in Vynogradiv district. The police officers seized 40 system units for personal computers, 30 monitors, 5 wi-fi routers, Internet splitters, "PayBox" payment terminals, mobile phones, cash and account books.
Investigative actions are continuing. Recall that under the current legislation, gambling business in Ukraine is punishable by a fine of ten thousand to forty thousand untaxed minimum incomes.
