Mother of a Transcarpathian student robbed a teacher

Officers of Svalyava Police launched criminal investigation into the theft of a teacher’s belongings from a classroom. The mother of one of the school pupils is suspected in the offense.

The deputy director of a local school filed with Svalyava police department a report of theft. The woman reported that a bag had been stolen from a teacher of the primary school. The bag contained an umbrella, two memory cards and a notebook. 

At the scene, the police officers found out that the bag of the teacher had been stolen from the classroom by a 42-year-old unemployed resident of Svalyava, the mother of a pupil of the same school.

The police seized the stolen goods. Criminal proceeding over the incident was initiated under Article 185 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (theft). It is punishable by a fine of up to fifty non-taxable minimum incomes, or correctional labor for up to two years, or imprisonment for up to three years.
