In the village of Bronka in Irshava district (Transcarpathia), because of ice jam, the river Krasna burst its banks, and several houses were flooded. Two houses built of adobe collapsed due to water pressure.
Before the critical rise of water level, the owners of the both houses (three adults) were evacuated by boats, so no one was hurt. Several other buildings on the banks of the Krasna river are flooded but not destroyed, the owners were also evacuated in advance. Besides private houses, the kindergarten in Bronka is also flooded. At 11.00, the water level in the Krasna river began to drop, there is no threat of new floodings. The commission of representatives of the village council and district administration is establishing and documenting the damage caused by the disaster.
