Almost five thousand Transcarpathians have already taken advantage of “warm” loans

This year, the government has continued the popular program and improved the procedure for granting compensation under it.

This year, as before, Transcarpathians are able to receive government irrevocable financial support for energy efficiency measures. 20 percent – for the purchase of "non-gas" boilers, 35 percent – for insulation of housing, and 40 percent – for condominiums. If condominiums include recipients of subsidies, financial assistance reaches 70 per cent.

Also, the procedure for the use of funds provided in the State Budget for the activities under this program has been amended. In addition, the CB "PrivatBank" PJSC has been added to the list of banks authorized to grant so-called "warm loans". Therefore, people now have a wider choice of banks, their branch locations, the best loan terms and more. The addition of one more financial institution increases competition in the banking sector. This will help to reduce the cost of loans to households and condominiums and attract more participants.

UAH 400 million is provided in the state budget for 2017 for the implementation of this program.

According to the Director of the Housing, Construction and Infrastructure Department of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Eduard Malyar, since the launch of the program, residents of the region have been granted "warm loans" at over UAH 102 million. In particular, for the installation of "non-gas" boilers – 772 loans at UAH 14 million, for the purchase of energy efficient equipment and materials – 4062 loans at UAH 87.7 million and to condominiums – 12 loans at UAH 928 thousand.
