The operational headquarters was deciding on the measures to couneract the impact of inclement weather conditions

The meeting of the Operational Headquarters of the City Commission on Technogenic and Environmental Safety and Emergencies was held today in the Uzhgorod City Council under the chairmanship of the Deputy Mayor Vasyl Homonay. They discussed the measures to couneract the impact of inclement weather conditions in Uzhgorod, the readiness of all relevant services to respond to possible emergency situations. 
It was stressed that at present, responsible employees of all services are on alert. The city and district department of the State Emergencies Service of Ukraine in Transcarpathian region, if necessary, employs special equipment to eliminate the consequences of rainfall and identify the most dangerous areas. The Department of Municipal Economy should organize the work of private enterprises, condominiums to pump out water in subordinate territories; clear the drain pipes and troughs on the roofs of buildings and collectors on the roads, workers of the MU "KShEP", "Zakarpatelectrobud" LLC, etc. are also involved. 
According to the Transcarpathian Hydrometeorological Center, on December 9-11, heavy, sometimes very heavy rain with the transition to wet snow and snow is expected throughout the region. 
Car owners should keep their vehicles away from trees, as wet soil and wind gain may cause them to fall. The employees of municipal services of the city will be clearing streets, bridges, etc. Uzhgorod citizens, managers of condominiums are asked to clean the territories near their homes, enterprises, organizations, establishments.
