The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Hungary Liubov Nepop, while being in Transcarpathia, held working meetings with the head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Hennadiy Moskal, the Chairman of the Society of Hungarian Culture of Transcarpathia, the People’s Deputy Vasyl Brenzovich, the head of the Beregovo District State Administration Istvan Petrushka, the Mayor of Beregovo Zoltan Babyak, and visited the "Chizay" wine-making complex, which is reported by the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.
During the meetings, they discussed issues related to the role and potential of Transcarpathia in strengthening Ukrainian-Hungarian relations, protecting Ukraine from Russian aggression, promoting Ukraine in European and Euro-Atlantic integration, as well as in carrying out the reforms. They exchanged views regarding economic projects, including the importance of implementing the project to build a bypass road around Beregovo and the need for the development of checkpoints on the Ukrainian-Hungarian border.
While staying in Transcarpathia, the Ambassador, together with the People’s Deputy V.Brenzovich, the head of the Beregovo DSA I. Petrushka and the city mayor Z. Babyak, honored the memory of the killed heroes of the ATO and the Heaven’s Hundred and laid flowers to the commemoration stele, which the Ambassador shared on her Facebook page.
On December 16, the Ambassador also handed over New Year’s presents for the children of Velyky Berezny boarding school in Transcarpathian region, which is patronized by the Embassy of Ukraine in Hungary. The delivery of gifts was organized by the Embassy with the help of the Honorary Consul of Ukraine in Hungary Alex Rovt. L.Nepop noted that the children’s performance for the holiday of St. Nicholas was very sincere, interesting and touching, and their joy was genuine.
