Today, on December 14, a pensioner contacted the Velyky Berezny police. The man reported that he had witnessed unknown persons breaking and entering into a local store.
The investigative team, which arrived in less than 5 minutes, found a suspect in the theft at the scene. The investigators found out that the man had entered into the premises of the store after breaking the window on the door. All the stolen goods were seized from him.
The suspect was identified. It was a 46-year-old resident of the village of Maly Berezny who was previously convicted of property crime.
Law enforcement officers opened a criminal proceeding over the incident under Part 3 of Article 185 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Theft with breaking and entering).
The choice of a pre-trial restraint against the suspect is being decided. The investigation continues.
