Because of his own self-confidence and the desire for illicit profit, a 36-year-old resident of Ivano-Frankivsk region "lost" on the Ukrainian-Hungarian border both his vehicle, and the cigarettes hidden in it. During the inspection of a minibus Opel, which had arrived at the crossing point "Tisa", border guards found in it caches with tobacco products of various brands. 238 packs of cigarettes were hidden under a decorative lining of the car and in a niche for battery storage. However, the border guards worked well and once again prevented this illegal activity.
According to the current legislation, the minibus Opel made in 2009 and the smuggled cigarettes were seized. The confiscated goods were estimated at more than 278 thousand hryvnia.
