Bohdan Andriyiv, the city mayor, visited the new boiler house with boilers working on pellets equipped for heating of Uzhgorod City Clinical Hospital.

Two powerful solid-fuel boilers with automatic combustion control and automatic feeding of pellets are also equipped with flue gas emission control systems and reduce environmental hazards. Although pellets are made of raw materials of an exclusively vegetable origin, so they are environmentally safe solid biofuels. In this boiler house, wood pellets from wood processing enterprises and agro-industrial complex are used. It was installed by the "Energozberezhennia Zakarpattya" LLC.

Ivan Kurakh, the head physician of the city hospital, said that a trial run had already been conducted and the temperature in the premises of the hospital was the same as with gas heating. According to calculations, the use of this alternative fuel should reduce the cost of heating by 15-20%. At the same time, the gas boiler house also remains, making it possible to switch the systems to either of these two types of heating.
