Uzhgorod school №8 will take part in the experiment for the implementation of new standards of education

The new education standard will be implemented in four Transcarpathian schools.
On September 1, over 160,000 students, including 17,500 first-graders, will go to 665 schools in Transcarpathia. In this academic year, four secondary schools of the region – Uzhgorod № 8, Hanychi school in Tyachiv district, Chynadiyevo school in Mukachevo district and Mizhhirya school No. 1 – will be experimental (among one hundred schools of Ukraine). Here, first-graders will be taught in accordance with the new standards and a modern approach to teaching and studying subjects. So, 216 first-graders and eight teachers will become the pioneers in implementing the new standard of the reform "New Ukrainian School", which in the next academic year is to be introduced already in all schools of the country. This was announced during a briefing in the press center of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration by the Director of the Department of Education and Science of the Regional State Administration Hanna Sopkova.
As of September 1, children with intellectual disabilities of moderate and severe degree will be able to receive educational services based on their abilities, as inclusive education becomes an integral part of the new Ukrainian school. Its task is to promote the socialization of children with special needs, to provide them with equal opportunities in obtaining education. 

This year, the educational programs for students of grades 5-9 were also modernized. In addition, the new academic year for nine-graders will begin with new textbooks that the region will receive soon.
