Border guards found more than a thousand packs of cigarettes In a freight train heading to Hungary

At midnight, at the checkpoint "Chop (Druzhba)", border guards found unexpected items during the inspection of a freight train en route from Ukraine to Hungary. In the course of the inspection of tanks with rarefied gas, border guards together with officers of the fiscal service found 1461 packs of cigarettes without excise stamps. The tobacco products were hidden in the wheel sets of the train cars. Border guards are now identifying the persons who tried to smuggle the cigarettes.

In accordance with the current legislation, the cigarettes were seized by the customs authorities, which will determine the cost of the tobacco products.
