Vilshany reservoir will be cleaned

On Monday, at the large meeting held in the RSA, the head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Hennadiy Moskal ordered to immediately start cleaning Vilshany reservoir on the border of Khust and Mizhhirya districts.

– This is one of the most beautiful places in Transcarpathia, and now the reservoir and surrounding area are buried in trash, that was brought down by mountain rivers and streams during snow melting – H. Moskal said. – The tourist season starts after Easter, therefore by Friday, Mizhhirya and Khust district states administrations, the "Oblenergo" which ownes Vilshany reservoir and the State Emergencies Service have to do everything to remove the trash.

In addition, the head of the RSA instructed the State Ecological Inspectorate to intensify efforts for bringing to justice leaders of state and local governments (especially heads of cities, towns, villages and local communities combined), who do nothing to clean up their respective territories. – We have repeatedly asked people to clean the territories they are responsible for. – H. Moskal said. – Not all of them follow the reguests, so we will force them to perform their duties with reports and fines. Several lazy managers have already paid fines. The list will be made public later.
