Transcarpathian Hungarian entrepreneurs will receive non-repayable grants from Hungary
On April 8, the Chairman of the National Assembly of Hungary on Foreign Affairs Németh Zsolt and the Secretary of State Potápi Árpád János, who is in charge of the national policy, visited Transcarpathia, the Myhungary.net informs.
On Saturday, the reporting and election conference of the Society of Hungarian Culture in Transcarpathia (Kárpátaljai Magyar Kulturális Szövetség - KMKSZ) took place in Beregovo. The Ambassador of Hungary to Ukraine Erno Keskeny also took part in the conference. In his speech, the Secretary of State praised the work of the NGO, noting that this could be an example for other Hungarian political forces in the Carpathian Basin. "The Hungarian government recognized that the biggest problem among Hungarians in Transcarpathia is the unfavorable demographic situation and migration. Therefore, Hungary has launched several large-scale grants of socio-economic nature, which can solve the problems of food children, also it is additional support for teachers, doctors, social workers, clergy and journalists. Hungary provides five billion forints as non-repayable grants and 20 billion forints as soft loans for Transcarpathian Hungarian entrepreneurs, which is expected to help create up to thousand jobs and thousands of families will be able to improve their financial situation", - the State Secretary Potápi Árpád János said in his speech.
