Fake “sensation” with a fictional “vandalism” (PHOTOS)

Near Beregovo in Transcarpathia, unidentified persons damaged the Hungarian flag. This was announced by the Foreign Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin in his Twitter.

"I have found out about the damaging of the Hungarian flag near Beregovo. I strongly condemn this act of vandalism. We are doing everything to find the perpetrators," – Klimkin wrote. The minister’s statement was qiuckly spread by the central media.

Meanwhile, the press service of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration denies the vandalism version: the news about the damaging of Hungarian flag by "unknown vandals" on the outskirts of the city of Beregovo (Transcarpathian region) is not true.

– Two flagpoles with the national flags of Ukraine and Hungary, which are set on the outskirts of Beregovo, have not been targeted by vandals – Hennadiy Moskal said. – One of the flags disappeared because of the weather, not because of human factor. The flags have not been replaced since last autumn, they survived the winter with severe frosts, and this morning strong wind damaged the Hungarian flag, part of which remained on the flagpole (it can be seen in the photo). Beregovo local authorities will soon replace both flags. That is, the media out of a quite banal situation made a sensation with "strong condemnation of the act of vandalism" and even found a "Russian trace". Surprisingly, it was initiated by the foreign minister of Ukraine. He should have first found out all the details before spreading nonsense on social networks.
