Vyacheslav Grozny: "I suggest the clubs to refuse from TV money for a year"

The head coach of "Goverla" Vyacheslav Grozny commented on television channels' offer of 102 million hryvnia bonus to the UPL clubs.

- I think it is more important now to talk about unacceptability of the championship format with 12 teams, rather than rumors about "Goverla". There may not be 12 teams in Ukraine, in this country there should be 16 teams in the elite division. Is "Goverla" interesting? Everybody says that Grozny talks about that, because he trains "Goverla". It is not so. I am talking about Ukrainian football, and my contract with the Uzhgorod team expires in a couple of months anyway.

There can not be 12 teams in Ukraine, and the regulations state - 14 or 16. TV channels have no money to broadcast the entire championship, so I suggested: let's not take TV money for one year, give them an opportunity to grow, let them accumulate this money, improve logistics. But, there will be 16 teams in the championship. Now, many players go to play in foreign leagues. We do not live isolated from the economy.

Budgets were inflated, there were unscrupolous agents, who would ask for salaries for football players and for themselves, though no doubt there are honest agents who think about their clients. Therefore, salaries were inflated, budgets were inflated, and now clubs can not pay this big money. So, those, who agree to debt restructuring, do the right thing. But some do not understand that clubs are not going to pay this big money anymore - Vyacheslav Grozny shared his opinion.
