Transcarpathia presented their tourism opportunities at the international fairs Go and Regiontour in Brno
During 14-17 of January, exhibitions devoted to the development of tourism took place in the city of Brno. Tourist enterprises, organizations, officials and carriers from European countries took part in it. Ukraine was represented by the Department of Tourism and Resorts of the Transcarpathian Regional Administration, the Union for Promotion of Rural Tourism of Transcarpathia, partner of the Tourism and Resorts Department - the Informationand Analytical Service "Eastern European Dialogue" (Prague) and tourism enterprises and rural estates. The city of Kharkiv as a sister city of Brno also participated in the exhibition Regiontour.
The Ukraine's booth was visited several thousand tourists, who received all the necessary information about the tourism potential of Transcarpathian region.
In addition to the exhibition, representatives of the Tourism Department held a number of official meetings and talked with the tourism organizers of Czech Republic. The head of the department Denys Man agreed with the Hetman of Vysocina region on joint activities for the intensification of tourist flows to the two states. With the consul of Ukraine in Brno, they discussed the information component of the activity, including the promotion of tourist potential of Ukraine. At the exhibition stands of the Czech Republic, Ukrainian experts discussed the possibility of cooperation and studied the problems of tourist business relations in the two states.
The organizers of the exhibition stand of Ukraine held a presentation of tourist potential of Transcarpathian region, rural tourism in the region and tourism potential of Ukraine regarding marking of tourist trails in the Transcarpathian region, etc.
Currently, the Department of Tourism of the Regional State Administration is working on the implementation of the plan, which was developed following the tour to enhance Ukrainian-Czech cooperation in tourism. One of the practical measures of this plan will be two promotional tours (one in each country) for the travel trade and media representatives in April and September respectively.
