The police is getting rid of the colonel who was driving drunk in Uzhgorod district

The National Police reported that the Lieutenant Colonel of the Economic Crimes Department, who was caught driving drunk, will be fired.

Last night, a police crew, while patrolling on the Kyiv-Chop highway, near the village of Velyki Lazy noticed a Mitsubishi Lancer with dipped-beam headlamps off. The patrol policemen stopped the car, and during document checks noticed signs of intoxication of the driver who was wearing a uniform.

Drager test showed 1.7 ppm, which is much more than the permitted blood alcohol content. The report of admininstrative violation under Article 130 of the CAO was drawn up against the driver.

 Official investigation was conducted into this incident. On Monday, the officer will be dismissed.
