The original stamp and artistic envelope made specifically for the 70th anniversary of the Transcarpathian region within the Ukrainian state were presented in Uzhgorod

The design of the new stamp was developed by Uzhgorod philatelist Oleksandr Shevchenko. According to his plan, the stamp is adorned with an image of the main administrative building of the region, and the artistic envelope features such tourist attractions of our region as the Narcissus Valley, the wooden Shelest church, Mukachevo Town Hall and Uzhgorod downtown, as well as the national flag against the map of Transcarpathia.

Solemn cancellation of the envelope and the original stamp was performed by the acting director of the Transcarpathian directorate of the "Ukrposhta" Victor Voitko, the deputy head of the Culture Department of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Ivan Kanyuka and the head of Uzhgorod club of philatelists.

Also, at the closing of the festive exhibition, several participants received diplomas of the Department of Culture of the RSA, and the best exhibits were honored with bronze, silver and gold medals. The highest gold award went to a 13-year-old Anastasia Prysych from Uzhgorod and a guests from Kyiv Oleksandr Kanivets.
