Petro Sholtes showed in museums and Uzhgorod... caricatures (PHOTOS)
Retrospective exhibition of Transcarpathian painter, member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine Petro Sholtes solemnly opened in the Transcarpathian Regional Museum.
The exhibition, which presents about 80 paintings and graphic works, takes place on the occasion of his 70th anniversary, which the artist celebrated last year in October. Therefore, it features the author's paintings created in different periods - there are interiors, portraits, and cityscapes. There are even caricatures of his colleagues and ... himself.
Art critic Olena Prikhodko said about Petro Sholtes's art: "Art is a reflection of the artist's state of mind, his personal self-expression, creative beliefs. The world of Mr. Petro's paintings is clear and orderly, friendly and good, as is the author, who looks has a clear view of the world."
No wonder that there were so many people in the hall - representatives of the authorities, relatives, artist colleagues, friends, lovers of art came to congratulate the artist.
