Moskal once again brought children from Luhansk region to Transcarpathia

        The head of the region met with students of Luhansk region who had come to rest in Transcarpathia during the Christmas holidays. The group of 28 children and two adults will spend ten days in the westernmost region of Ukraine, the program of their stay prepared by the Department of Education of the RSA includes trips to Uzhgorod and Mukachevo castles, trip to the mountain village of Kolochava, skating, different trainings and, of course, celebration of Christmas in Transcarpathian traditions.

At the beginning of the meeting, children sang carols to Moskal and gave him symbolic gifts – a winter hat in the national colors, a scarf with the inscription "Stanytsia Luhanska," a Ukrainian flag and an honorary award from Stanytsia Luhanska community "For patriotism and unbreakable faith in the people."

While heading Luhansk regional military-civilian administration, H. Moskal would many times visit Stanytsia Luhanska and surrounding villages, which are very affected by the war, and during the meeting asked the children about the situation at home.

– Militants damaged or destroyed more than 20 educational facilities in the district – H. Moskal said. – Last year, we inspected all of them and allocated funds for repairs. Most schools have resumed their work, except one – in Stanytsia Luhanska – which was razed by direct shell hits. Children from this school are now studying in the editorial office of the regional newspaper.
During the meeting, H.Moskal gave students gifts – tablets to capture and record their experience in Transcarpathia and sweets.
