Many educational institutions have been repaired uner joint projects of Transcarpathia and the Czech region of Vysocina
During the bilateral international meeting of the leadership of Transcarpathian region with the delegation of Vysocina region of the Czech Republic, they discussed the cooperation between the two regions.
As informed by the Chairman of the Regional Council of the VI convocation, a representative of the charity fund "VIZa" Volodymyr Chubirko, during 2015, 20 joint projects for major repairs, energy saving at over UAH 17 million were implemented in schools and secondary institutions. Nearly 5 million or one third of the cost of their implementation is provided by Vysocina through the charitable foundation "VIZa". Also over 5 million allocated for their implementation was allocated from the regional budget. Some of them have already been completed, and some are in the process of completion.
According to the decision of the Transcarpathian Regional Council of the V convocation of October 23, 2007, № 384 of February 28, 2008, in the city of Jihlava in Czech Republic, the agreement on cooperation between Transcarpathian region of Ukraine and Vysočina region of the Czech Republic for 5 years was signed. On March 16, 2012, this Agreement has been extended indefinitely.
Since then, Czech partners represented by the government representatives, business journalists have repeatedly visited Transcarpathia. In turn, the delegation of local governments, educational, health care, social security and culture institutions have visited Vysočina region and learned the experience of colleagues in different fields.
For several years of cooperation, 65 projects on energy conservation and reconstruction of public and socio-cultural institutions worth over UAH 30 million have been implemented.
