In Transcarpathia, international experts shared their experience of wine tourism development
On Saturday, January 16, during the Festival "Red Wine 2016", the international conference "Culture of wine consumption - an important element of cross-border tourism" took place in the Knight's Hall of the "Palanok" castle. Its participants - wine makers and scientists from Ukraine, Slovakia, Hungary and Austria - discussed the state, problems and prospects of the development of private winemaking.
Today, there are more than 100 private wineries in Transcarpathia. This international conference will give impetus to the popularization of wine-making, promotion of tourism potential of our region.
The Consul General of the Slovak Republic in Uzhgorod Janka Burianova believes that the festival is held according to the best European standards
"I like to visit Mukachevo. Here, they always offer us new joint projects. The "Red Wine" makes Mukachevo a unique city. It is the largest tourist symbol of the city for tourists from other countries. Your festival known in many European countries. I wish you success."
The Consul General of Hungary in Uzhgorod Jozsef Buhayla and in Beregovo Endre Salipski also think highly about this year's festival.
The head of the "Tourinform - Transcarpathia" Oleksandr Koval spoke about the role and place of wine tourism in the tourism industry of Transcarpathia.
The "Red Wine" is one of the best festivals in Ukraine. It is a challenge for many cities. It is an image-forming fest. Many cities try to copy it - including Uzhgorod".
