In Transcarpathia, a pensioner was detained while trying to sell ammunition

A 64-year-old resident of Irshava in Transcarpathia tried to sell ammunition to the Makarov pistol, automatic weapons and DShK machine gun cartridge. The man, who was walking the streets of the city offering ammunition to passers-by, was detained by a joint patrol of protection police and officers of Khust Police Department.  

  

During the inspection in the presence of witnesses, the police found on the man's person 56 rounds of ammunition of various calibres: 1 cartridge of 12.7 mm caliber to the DShK machine gun, 24 cartridges of 5.45 mm caliber, 5 cartridges of 7.62 mm caliber to automatic rifles and 26 cartridges of 9 mm caliber to the Makarov pistol.

These ammunitions were seized and sent to the Research Forensic Centre at the Main Office of the National Police in Transcarpathian region for examination.

Currently, the incident is being investigated.
