Fedir Shandor: "The festival "Red Wine" "outshone" the negative information"

The UzhNU Professor Fedir Shandor, summarizing this year's wine festival, said that the event had "outshone" the negative information that has been accumulated in the region since the beginning of the year.

"Information about the festival were in national media and in social networks. People from all over the country visited it. This is the best promotion of our country", - Shandor said.

The preliminary selection of winemakers, that was held this year, had an impact on the quality of products presented at the festival.

"We wanted to show the best wines in the region. The Tasting Commission was working in two stages - the selection of quality wines, and on the second stage, we determined the best wine of the festival. Overall, 57 wineries applied for participation in the festival "Red Wine 2016". The Tasting Committee selected the best 40 of them to participate in the festival. The whole process took place publicly, with the active participation of the media. Most winemakers presenting products in glass containers, which is very important for preservation of the quality," - Fedir Shandor said.
