The police is establishing the circumstances of the death of a 22-year resident of Rakhiv district who got injured while skiing
A young man, who on January 18 ran into a tree while skiing, died in Rakhiv district hospital intensive care unit.
On January 23, 22-year-old man, a resident of village of Kvasy, who on January 18 received severe injuries after a collision with a tree while skiing in the "Retivka" tract in the village of Kvasy, died in the intensive care unit of Rakhiv district hospital.
The skier was taken to Rakhiv hospital with a closed head injury, chest trauma, a broken arm and collarbone. Since Monday, doctors had been fighting for his life and health, but yesterday at 18.00, the patient died...
An hour later, the boy's father asked the police to investigate into actions of the doctors, who failed to save the life of his son.
Under the father's statement, Rakhiv police opened criminal proceeding under Art.140 of the Criminal Code (Improper performance of professional duties). In addition, the body of the deceased man will be sent to Uzhgorod for independent pathoanatomical examination.
The investigation is ongoing.
