Caroling groups from all over the region will be caroling in the Transcarpathian Museum of Folk Architecture and Life

On Sunday, January 17, 2016, in the Transcarpathian Regional Museum of Folk Architecture and Life, the regional festival "Carols in the Old Village" will take place.
At the festival, the audience will have the opportunity to hear Christmas carols performed in different parts of our region in Ukrainian, German, Slovak, Hungarian and Romanian. Interesting Nativity plays will take place accompanied by the Transcarpathian Academic Folk Choir. The celebration will begin at 10.00 with the worship in the Shelest church of St. Archangel Michael built in XVIII century. The grand opening of the festival will take place at 12.00. The festival program includes caroling in exhibit houses, eating traditional Transcarpathian dishes, fair-market of craftsmen products, taking pictures with carolers.
We invite all fans of folk customs and traditions to the festive event. The admission is free.
