At the next session, Transcarpathian deputies will be working under new regulations

Back in November 26, 2015, the Parliament of Ukraine adopted amendments to the Law on Local Self-Government, according to which local councils must adopt decisions only in the form of a roll-call vote.

236 deputies voted for the amendments to Article 59 of the Law "On Local Government in Ukraine"

– According to the document, local councils are required to adopt decisions by open roll-call vote.   The exceptions are cases, where secret voting is allowed by the law, including elections to positions in local councils or motins of no-confidence, – the Chairman of the Transcarpathian Regional Council Mykhailo Rivis said. – So, at the next session, which will be held in February, the results of roll-call vote will be made public and posted on the official website of Regional Council on the day of adoption of the decision and will stay there for an unlimited period. Thus, every citizen will be able to see how a particular deputy voted for a particular decision.
