A book of selected poems by Vasyl Diyanych was presented in Uzhgorod Press Club
The presentation of a book of selected poems by Vasyl Diyanych took place in Uzhgorod Press Club. The presentation was attended by members of the National Union of Writers of Ukraine Vasyl Husti, Petro Khodanych, Yuriy Shyp, Serhiy Fedaka. And also the daughter of the writer Miroslavs Halytsia with husband Ivan.
Poet and journalist Vasyl Diyanych was one of the most popular writers, lyricists, songwriters of Transcarpathia in 1960s - 1970s. Songs with his lyrics were performed at almost every concert of the Transcarpathian Folk Choir. On July 15, 2015, the poet would have turned 90 (Vasyl Diyanych passed away in 1980). Petro Hodanych, who knew the poet personally, said that Vasyl Diyanych was one of the most lyrical poets who worked in 1960s - 1970s. According to Petro Hodanych, Vasyl Diyanych was a master of lyrical poetry, he could see a lyrical image, find epithet, metaphor.
"Vasyl Diyanych became a master of pastoral poetry, - Serhiy Fedaka said. - He wrote about the Carpathian nature going beyond the purely botanical realities. His works are allegorical. This is especially noticeable in his poem "Fern Blossom", where the poet rises to Gogol's mysticism. This is a vivid manifestation of ancient mysticism, pantheism in Transcarpathian literature. His poems are interesting, unique".
Miroslava Halytsia, the poet's daughter, thanked the members of the National Union of Writers for their attention to the works of her father and preserving the memory of him.
