Transcarpathians in Hungary will have preferences in legal employment

The information, which will definitely be interesting to Transcarpathians, was posted in Facebook. Hungary decided to fill the shortage of manpower with Ukrainians. The Minister of Economy of Hungary Mihai Varga said that the government should simplify the procedure for issuing work permits for citizens of neighboring countries that are not EU members.

The official said that in an interview with the Heti válas. According to him, there is a shortage workforce in Hungary (at least 50 thousand jobs). The country needs drivers, engineers and accountants. There is a big shortage of health workers. Programmers are also needed, though this profession is considered one of the most highly paid.

According to the minister of economy, preference should be given to those who share moral and ethical values of Hungarians – for example, Ukrainians. To obtain legal employment in Hungary, as in other EU countries, one must first get permission for such employment, and then to apply for a long-term visa or a residence permit for this purpose.
