Transcarpathia has received a real chance to restore vineyards – Robert Horvat

The Parliament has just voted for the law that gives a real chance to restore Transcarpathian vineyards. This was reported to Uzhgorod.in by MP Robert Horvat.

He believes that the bill under the number 2739 will be the incentive for active develoment of vine-growing and wine-making: "This law cancels the need for license for wholesale trade in wine for small wineries. What was before? Powerful wine companies bought grapes from small producers at a price that they set themselves – Robert Horvat says. The ground is the license for wholesale trade, the price of which is 500,000 UAH. It is clear that this amount divided by the finished product puts an additional load on the cost of each bottle. The "weight" of this amount depends on the volume of production. If we are talking about 200-500 thousand bottles, that a wine "monster" produces in a year, the additional amount does not significantly affect the cost. If it comes to a small producer, the price of a bottle can automatically increase by 50-60 UAH. Of course, under such circumstances, small and medium manufacturers refused to buy a license for wholesale."

The adoption of the Law 2739 entitles small and medium producers of wines made of their own grapes to sell their products through a commercial network. Instead, the companies that buy grapes to make their wine, must purchase a license for wholesale. According to Robert Horvat, these innovations will be an incentive to expand production of small and medium businesses, which means more areas for growing vines.

Recall the information about possible changes in this direction appeared back at the end of April.
