Near Volovets, a man was hit by a train Lviv-Uzhgorod

In the evening of September 18, the police received a report from the train station dispatcher that the train Lviv-Uzhgorod had hit an unknown man who died on the spot.

The investigative team, which arrived at the scene, identified the victim, it was a 33-year-old resident of the village of Mosyriv in Cherkasy region. According to the driver, at the time of the collision, the victim was standing on the track and watching the other train on the nearby track. That is why the victim did not react to signals and warning shouts. The driver says that he could not stop the train moving at a high speed. 

Employees of Volovets police department are checking all the circumstances of the case.
