At the customs post “Luzhanka”, attempted illegal importation of 10 “iPhone 7” was prevented (PHOTOS)

Employees of Transcarpathian customs office prevented an attempt of illegal import of modern mobile phones "iPhone 7" to Ukraine.

A "TOYOTA CAMRY" driven by a citizen of Ukraine with three passengers, arrived at the ​​customs checkpoint "Luzhanka" to enter Ukraine. He chose the "green corridor" for customs control.

Given the risk analysis, the vehicle was sent to the box for in-depth inspection, during which 10 mobile phones "iPhone 7" were found in the baggage compartment of the car. As it turned out, mobile phones were owned by the four citizens, one of them owned 4 phones, and each of the rest owned two phones. The cost of one phone is 863 Euro.

According to Part 1 of Art. 374 of the Customs Code of Ukraine, any goods (excluding excise goods), the total invoice value of which does not exceed the equivalent of 500 euros and a total weight of which does not exceed 50 kg, being imported by citizens to the customs territory of Ukraine in hand luggage and / or baggage through checkpoints across the state border of Ukraine, shall not be subject to a written declaration and shall not be subject to customs duties.

According to the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dd. 21.05.2012 number 436 "On approval of the list of goods subject to restrictions on transportation across the customs border of Ukraine", mobile phones are subject to assessment of compliance with the requirements of the Technical regulation for restriction of use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment.

Thus, the citizens of Ukraine violated the established order of customs control in areas of the simplified customs control: they were moving goods that exceed the exemption rate for cross-border transportation and are subject to restriction on transportation across the customs border of Ukraine according to the law.

These actions have signs of violation of customs rules under Article 471 of the Customs Code of Ukraine.

Based on Article 511 of the Customs Code of Ukraine, under reports on violation of customs rules, all the mobile phones "IPHONE 7" were seized.
