Currently, the work of employees of the Transcarpathian customs office is mainly focused on combating customs offenses. Thus, during nine months of this year, the customs office has initiated 1939 cases of violation of customs regulations at UAH 24.6 million. This was informed by Volodymyr Kolesnikov, the head of the Transcarpathian customs office.
The Office has reviewed 1,239 cases of violation of customs rules and imposed administrative sanctions in the form of fines amounting to almost UAH 9.3 million. 650 cases on violation of customs regulations at UAH 25.8 million were referred for consideration by the court.
Following the hearings, the court has made decisions on confiscation of direct crime objects at UAH 16.9 million and imposed fines in the amount of UAH 13 million.
According to the head of the regional customs office, the Transcarpathian customs is among the leaders in terms of registered customs offenses, in particular, most of the offenses were detected at the border with Hungary.
