For Transcarpathians, visa-free regime is already in force, who wanted to go to Europe are already there

President Petro Poroshenko said that in November Ukrainians, and Transcarpathians in particular, would be able to travel without visas.
It is reported that a Russian journalist asked whether Poroshenko believes in the visa-free regime with the EU.

"Put it down: especially for you, although I do not give comments to Russian channels. In November, Ukrainians will be travelling without visas. And I hope that someday Russians will have this opportunity too," – the president said.

The press service of the President reported that Jean-Claude Juncker and Donald Tusk assured Poroshenko that they are doing everything to speed up the visa-free regime for Ukraine.

At the same time, for residents of Transcarpathia, visa-free regime with the EU will not bring significant changes.Almost all inhabitants of the region have the opportunity to travel to Europe taking advantage of local border traffic, and many residents have passports of Hungary and Romania. Also, many residents of the region long ago settled in the Czech Republic, where they have residence permits or citizenship.

Thus, the introduction of visa-free regime with the EU for residents of Transcarpathia does not really matter: who wanted to go Europe are already there.
