The policeman, who caught a bullet in Rakhiv district, will be operated on in Uzhgorod

Today, the 23-year-old Rakhiv police officer Ivan Mykytyuk, who was wounded late in the evening of November 22 by a drunk offender with a Kalashnikov in the village of Vydrychka in Rakhiv district, was delivered to the regional clinical hospital in Uzhgorod. The bullet crushed his left hand

His father is together with him in the hospital. Ivan Mykytyuk himself, of course, is not very talkative. The man says that he feels fine, and the hand does not hurt. He says that he only remembers the sound of the shots, and then everything is in a blur...

"The police officer would like to thank his chief of the Police Criminal Investigation Major Eduard Kapchuk, who saved the lives of his colleagues. The experienced police officer at the last moment managed to struck the weapon from the hands of the drunken thug, and the bullets missed the people, damaging the Major's car. Otherwise, the consequences would have been terrible, because the offender had fired 10 bullets and there were two more cartridges left..." - the Communication Department of the Transcarpathian regional police describes the events.

The Chief Physician of the Regional Hospital Yuriy Yatsyna said that the patient will undergo several difficult surgeries. There is a good chance to save his hand and fingers. The surgeons are doing everything for that.
